High aspirations

Me: What do you want to be when you grow up?
Firstborn: (after a long pause) I want to be God.
Me: (stifled mirth) Hmmmph.

Maybe going to Catholic school wasn't such a good idea for Firstborn after all.

As far as Firstborn is concerned, she is God, isn't she, albeit a pink fluffy goddess type of God.

My two (born three and a half years apart) are planning to live "together, in the same town as Mima and Nanny" (my parents); they shall "fly airplanes and work as chefs", returning after work every day to a home filled with "all the toys in the world" and a kitchen stocked "only with candy", which they will consume while watching "all the videos in the world". Sounds good, eh? Sign me up!

Firstborn might go off it when you explain you have to work seven days a week, 24 hours a day and never get Christmas off.
