What is the point? I have pondered this for...Why? What is the point? I have pondered this for years since coming across this horrible habit in adulthood. The only explanation I can think of is GUILT! As an only child, I was essentially force fed good natural foods, including Guernsey milk with a fat content out of sight. Nobody could accuse me of drinking all the milk - I had to. In a large family, the greedier members would (I suppose)be accused by their siblings of taking more than their fair share. Ergo - rather leave the bottle in the fridge empty than be the one to announce to the horde - No More Milk - and suffer the consequences. Add FEAR to my cod psychology.
